Make a basket with the scroll saw |
Aug. 18/2013 I made a basket of 11 square in the Scroll saw. The material is a cherry wood and the thickness is 11mm. |

1.I draw a drawing of 11 square in CAD. drawing |
2.Pasting drawing with spray glue. Drilling a hole 1.5mm at high speed drilling machine. |

3.Cutting with the Scroll saw. |
4.Holding the portion which becomes a first bottom by a vacuum chuck. |
|

 |
|
5.Scoop out a center, in order to improve stability of a basket. |
6.Smoothing with a sandpaper before gluing. |

 |
|
7.Glue up one part at a time. And finally, a weight is put and will be placed for one day. |
8.Finish in Perilla oil. |

The method has the fun different from a wood turning. 204mm in diameter. 85mm in height. Oil finsh. |
