Aluminum pad with shaft for sanding

Dec. 19/2021
When I tried to use the rubber pad with φ75 shaft that I bought from Off Corporation a long time ago for the first time in a while, the rubber deteriorated and broken. So I decided to remake it from aluminum. I also made a small aluminum pad for the micro router.Drawing
.This is a pad whose rubber has deteriorated and has fallen apart.
.When the rubber was removed, a shaft screwed into a nut with a claw came out. I decided to divert this shaft.
.Marked on a 3mm thick aluminum plate with a compass.
.Cut into a disk shape with a scroll saw.
.A pilot hole is machined in the center with a center drill.
.Drilling 5 mm.
.M6 tap. If you grab the tap with the tail stock and process it, you can stand it at a right angle to the aluminum plate.
.Since the screw of the removed shaft is short, additional machining is done with a die.
.Lock the screw with the M6 nut so that it will not come loose, but process the nut surface at a right angle so that the shaft is vertical.
.Attach the shaft to a 3mm aluminum plate cut into a disk shape and turning the outer circumference.
.This is a 2mm thick aluminum plate cut out for a small aluminum pad.
.Drilling 3 mm.
.Counterbore for countersunk screws.
.For the shaft, I used a mandrel for a mini router that I bought for 1$.
.Fix the mandrel with M3 * 8L countersunk screws and turning the outer circumference.
.Adhere the magic tape to the finished pad with bond G17.
.The finished aluminum pad with a shaft.
.Sandpaper for small aluminum pads is cut out from a replacement paper with Velcro to φ30 mm with a compass cutter.

For the 30mm pad, extend the bit stand of the micro router and store it.
