Tractor cigarette lighter socket

Jan.3/2026
I installed a car cigarette lighter socket on a used Yanmar KE-2D tractor I bought, which means I can now install car seat heaters and electric fans.Drawing
.The KE-2D tractor is equipped with a backup power coupler, which is covered with a cap to prevent dust from entering.
.When I removed the cap, it was a typical two-pole coupler like this.
.I bought the same model coupler at a home improvement store.
.Just to be sure, I checked the polarity with a tester and it was as described in the tractor's instruction manual.
.Also check the instructions on the back of the coupler.
.Solder the cigarette lighter wire to the terminal.
.Store the terminals in the coupler and you're done.
.Next, I made a U-band to hold the cigarette lighter socket. I cut a 2mm thick aluminum plate.
.A 15mm wide aluminum plate was cut out.
.The outer diameter of the cigarette lighter socket is 27 mm, which is the same as the outer diameter of the 20ASGP pipe clamp.
.So we pressed an aluminum plate onto a 20A gas pipe to form it into a semicircle.
.Drilled 3.6mm holes for fixing.
.This is how it is installed.
.Painted matte black.
.The completed cigarette lighter socket and U-band.
.First, I decided to try out this seat heater. I bought this heater on Rakuten. It has three temperature settings and three time settings, and it heats up quickly, so it's great for warming your bottom in no time.
.I attached a cigarette lighter socket to the roof post of the tractor and connected it to a spare power socket.
.Seat heater plugged in.
Now I can keep my butt warm while working even on cold days.
