The other day, I got the board of the cherry tree and the zelkova tree from the friend.As for cherry tree, 4 inches of thickness are near and zelkova is 8 inches square.
I will begin the manufacturing project of the table.
Almost, I manufacturing of the square lumber which becomes a leg.
I writes the line which is cut to four.
I grinds down according to the line with the handsaw.
This work is tired. Sweat bubbles away in spite of being midwinter.
I made corn when removing both edges.
I was very tired. But, I planed it. Its grain is beautiful.

Today, I manufacture of the board.First, I sharpen the blade of the plane.
It is possible to soak up water sufficiently by putting whetstone in the bucket.
I hits a blade against the plane of whetstone straight and moves it in parallel.
It is completion if the part of metal becomes gray and the steel part at the end of the blade gets to shine, being white.
The grain appears with the plane.
As for it, I feel good.
I confirms the plane of the board with the straightedge.
Therefore, it takes time.
I used a plane for 4 hours.

I worried about how I connected between the upper board and the leg.Then, I decided to fix it with the bolt.
I makes two holes in the leg with the long drill of 12 mm.
At first, I uses a drill press to make a perpendicular hole.
After it, I uses a cordless drill.
The hole which the head of the bolt is included in does spot face with the trimmer.
Next, the upper board opens the under hole of 10.5 mm at the 50 mm depth.
that I tapped to it. As for the tapping work, the tree is simpler than iron.
I attempted to do temporary putting-together.
It could be tightly fixed.
But, It is bad balance.
Next time, I'll mount a support in the part of the leg.

I mount a support to improve stability more.Almost, it begins to cut the part which becomes a support.
It shave a side with the trimmer.
As for the connection between the leg and the support of the body, it adopted dove tail.
The part of the support shave the around first by the 12 mm bit and makes 10 mm convexity.
After that, it is to be complete when reducing two by the dove tail bit.
The body uses ‚ð by the dove tail bit after it makes a 10 mm hollow oppositely.
I drums a support with the tree hammer.
I adjusts the surface of the reverse once again last with the plane.
I decided to put four supports.
I fixed short support with the pin.
Because, the load is small.
Next time is an oil finish.

I choose the natural color of watco oil. Because, it is general in Japan.The small flaw in the surface becomes not conspicuous with it.
This work is completion when wiping up and drying oil and waxing last,and took many day.
Even though, it is heavy in spite of being this size.
It was to 30 kg be when measuring with the bathroom scales.
