Dec. 17/2005 I did the maintenance of the 45 mm plane which was bought 20 years before. It is the japanese plane which I bought for the first time. The plane in Japan must correct a sole sometimes.We call it "dainaoshi". |

There are two kinds of ways in "dainaoshi". "Three support" is good plane degree."Two support" is possible to reduce thin. |

1.The first step is to flatten the sole. I put the 180th sandpaper on the thick glass board and I polish the sole. |
2.I make a hollow using my scraper. |

3.I tested the plane which "dainaoshi" completed.It is good.I think that it is possible to use if maintaining a cheap plane. |
4.Recently, I am using the 65 mm plane which is made from "Kawayoshi".This is cartridge blade and there is not necessity of grinding.However, "dainaoshi" becomes necessary. |
