It's been three years since I last went sweetfish fishing. I finished work in the morning and arrived at Tomoayu on the Katsuura River just before noon. There was no one on the river, so I looked around and was told, "They're not fishing because of the drought." So I asked about the situation in Kamikatsu and was told, "It's full of people now, and you might not be able to get in." But since it's been three years since I last went, I decided to cast my rod in Kamikatsu. At first, I went into a small space downstream of the old chicken coop, but there were only small ones that didn't work as bait, so I moved downstream of the hot springs.

Although the fish were small and not many were caught, I was able to enjoy fishing for tomo-tsuri after a long time. However, it was also a day that made me feel my age, as I tripped over nothing at all.
