When I was having trouble using Forester's auto parking and vehicle hold buttons, I found an interesting kit on Rakuten, so I immediately purchased it and installed it.

The packaging is solid, and the parts are well made.

An installation manual is also included, making it easy to install.

First remove the two screws around the steering wheel and remove the cover under the steering wheel.

It can be easily removed by squeezing the back side of the cover and shaking it.

Next, remove the cover of the shift knob, but without using the attached plastic spatula, hold the area around the drink holder and pull it up at once to remove it easily. Use a small flathead screwdriver to hold the connector and pull it out.

Insert the kit coupler into the socket and outlet that you pulled out.

Do the same around the handle and insert the wiring of the kit.

Start the engine according to the instruction manual and operate the AVH and P buttons. When the engine starts, the AVH lights up. The parking brake also works in conjunction with the shift knob.

Installation was done in about 20 minutes. Two button operation disappears, and driving is very easy, too.
