My wife's Montbell hat has started to fade, so she asked me to dye it.

Since it's 100% cotton, I thought it would be easy to dye, so I wandered around a hardware store and discovered a powder dye called "Rit." I chose a bright royal blue color.

Mix the dye, salt, and detergent according to the instructions, boil 3 liters of water, and stir for 30 minutes to complete the dyeing.

I washed it with water until the color ran out and let it dry, and it turned out so beautifully.
