Nov. 5/2017 I made Centre marker Jig for lathe-spindle workpices. This jig is use to cutt the slots for drive center of the wood lathe by band-saw.Drawing |
1.Material is poplar with 50 mm thickness. |
2.Cut the parts to a length of 125 mm. |

3.V-grooving of 45 degrees. Using the Miter Sled Jig-2.Insert a 16 mm thick discard board under the workpiece. |
4.Cutting. When two workpieces are combined, the groove becomes 90 degrees. |

5.Preparation for biscuit joint with a workpiece caught in a vise. |
6.#10 biscuit. |

7.Glue a workpiece, then cut the end face. |
8.Make a runner. Cut the woodpice 6 mm thickness 16 mm with a width of 16 mm. |

9.Fasten the runner with screws. Then cutting a slot in the bottom of the V groove by the saw. |
10.Finish with watoco oil. |
|
V-groove to hold workpices is centered on Band saw blade. |
