May 1/2005 middle bowl I used a horse chestnut for the first time. And, I uses bowl gouge of the Robert Sorby for the first time, too. |
1.It is the board of the horse chestnut with the 75 mm thickness which I was bought at 2000 yen. I thinks that it is cheap. |
2.I clipped the board by using band saw like the disk. Seven disks to ø300-ø100. |
|
3.They were bought from Off-Corporation, 19m/m Round scraper and Roughing gouge, and are 13m/m Bowl gouge. Bowl gouge of 13m/m indeed has power. It is my target to master this gouge this time. |
4.This time, I uses a disk with ø165mm*75mm thickness. |
|
5.This is center jig for the face plate. The point is screw top. |
6.I forces jig into the face plate. Then, it adjusts the sharp part of the screw tip to the center of the works and it screws a face plate on the work. Then, a face plate is fixed on the center of the works. |
|
7.I cut outer with bowl gouge. I puts a hollow for the bottom to be able to grasp by Bantam chuck. |
8.I exchanges it from 4 fingernails chuck to bantam chuck of Akisminstar. The sharpness of gouge of Robert Sorby is good. |
|
9.It is made to put chuck in the hollow of work and to expand to the outside and it grips it. |
10.I used an aquatic urethane. There is durability when piling up and painting it. |
|
Horse chestnut is good. I seems that the stripe like the flame comees up by light. 160mm Dia * 72mm Tall. |
