The plump bowl of the horse chestnut.
I was making bowl thin so far. However, I reconsidered when the thicker one seemed to be a wooden receptacle more. The material used the horse chestnut of doing my favorite.
This bowl has a characteristic to the edge.
1.The material is a horse chestnut with 75 mm thickness. I sets a work in the face plate.
2.I cut outer with roughing gouge and bowl gouge. To grip it with Bantam chuck, the part in the bottom is cut down with 19mm square scraper.
3.The pilot hall is processed with fosnar bit before the inside is cutting with gauge.
4.I cut the inside by using bowl gouge of 12mm. Next, I make the use inside smooth in the 19mmround scraper. Round scraper is easy to handle.I thinks that it is an indispensable tool to the beginner.
5.I put a small ditch to the accent by the skew to the frame which was left in the circular figure of ring. I wanted to make truth rougher. However, I could not find the way.
6.I used tung oil in the finish. I likes, that the smell which is peculiar to this oil is intolerable.
Figure of the horse chestnut is very beautiful. I think that it finished softly by a color combination settled compared with the urethane of the former work.
150mm Dia * 70mm Tall.
