Mar. 26/2006 Sugar pot The material is Kouyamaki(sciadopitys verticllata). I got the material from the friend the year before last. |
1.It was gripped by four fingernail scroll chuck. |
2.I exchanged the bantam chuck. Works has a part of natural edge. |

3.I made jig for the cut of the bottom.I made it with the material of the remainder which cut off pot.I force a pot at the insertion tail and I shave it. |
4.The bottom has the part to have been pushing in the turn center. I cut it off with the chisel and I polish it with the sandpaper. |

5.I make a knob. The material is ebony. |
6.I made cap with beech. I grind into the form which got into swing like the dome. I open the hole of ø5mm to the center and I glue together the knob. |

7.I made jig to hollow and to pull out the inside of cap.About 0.3 mm of calibers makes them smaller than the periphery of cap. |
8.I drum cap into jig and I turned the inside.I thought that the jig grasped fast above the imagination. |

9.Jig grasped cap and I shaved the tip of the knob. |
10.I cut the ditch which the spoon passes.I made with handsaw and set file. |

9.I made a spoon with zelkova tree.I write an image with the cloud -shaped ruler and I cut out it in table jigsaw. |
10.I make an indent first.However, I don't have a sculpture sword.I put the circle bit of HSS to the diamond router and I scraped off it. |

Because I had made 2 pieces at the same time, finish was done respectively with the Korean Perilla oil and the urethane. The Korean Perilla oil clearly makes light and shade and is yellow (left side) a little. 95mm Dia * 100mm Tall. |
