May. 21/2017 Single-flower vase "Galaxy" I made a Galaxy shaped vase. This is used for a single-flower vase.drawing-1, drawing-2 |
1.I studied the combination of Kenzan and Tupperware. But that was not a good idea. Right sade a material for ikebana called hkenzan". |
2.I was this Kenzan mountain that I found in hRakutenh at such time. It seems to be said that "Hana otoshi dome". I bought some of the smallest ones. |

3.Make Galaxy 2 first. The material is Camphor. Turn one side flat by screw chuck. |
4.Mark the base of vase with a compass. |

5.The surface is gradually scraped while matching the pattern. |
6.Finished the base part. |
|
7.Drilling a 25mm Dia 15 mm deep with a forstner bit. |
8.Gripping reverse. Then turning the surface curved. |

9.Drilling a through hole of 25 mm. |
10.After sanding at # 240, # 320, finish with # 0000 steel wool. |

11.Drilling a 35mm Dia 23 mm deep with a forstner bit. |
12.Dipping it in the perilla oil, and buff finish after drying. |

The rings are beautiful. |

I think that when I look at this vase from the side it resembles the galaxy. |

I made a galaxy No. 1 with a diameter of 150 mm. The material is hiba arborvitae. |
