Conical candy bowl

Wood turning for the first time in a while. This time I tried making a slightly unusual shaped candy bowl.
.The material is square zelkova with a diameter of 150 mm and a height of 150 mm. The rotten parts will be cut off, so there shouldn't be any problems.
.Attach the faceplate and prepare for turning.
.While pushing with the tailstock, Turning the outside of the cone with the roughing gouge and bowl gouge.
.This is what it looks like from the back.
.The back side is also tapered. This taper will become the top of the bowl.
.Correct the cone angle to about 90 degrees and sanding.
.Turn the work upside down, grasp it with a bantam chuck, and push the center with the tailstock to hollow out as much of the center as possible.
.Drilling to a depth of 90mm using a 13mm taper shank drill.
.Drilling a 13mm hole will remove the center protrusion, so next I will drill it with a 30mm Forstner bit.
.The shape is mostly complete after turning it with a bowl-gouge so the thickness is about 5mm.
.Use a 75mm pad and sanding sequentially with #240 and #360.
.Sanding while rotating in reverse, then sanding again in the normal direction will remove any fuzz and create a smooth surface.
.Cut using a parting tool.
.Chucked from the inside with a large bantam chuck.
.Then, the tip of the cone is turned.
.I thought about using beeswax as a finish, but decided to use friction polish instead.
.Soak a paper towel in friction polish and press it against the workpiece while rotating it. The frictional heat dries the workpiece, resulting in a beautiful finish.
.It doesn't create a strong coating, but it's a liquid paint that is suitable for wood turning.
.From behind the completed bowl
.It looks like a tongari hat when turned upside down.Outer diameter 165mm, height 100mm.
The inside is also cone-shaped.The front opening has an inner diameter of 115 mm.
The shape from the side is also nice. It was worth spending 5 hours to make it.
I tried putting in some Kameda Crisps.
