Aug. 3/2025 Repairing the handle of a saucepan My wife asked me to repair the enamel saucepan that she had been using for many years because the handle had broken. Maybe she has a similar habit of taking good care of her tools. |

| 1.I don't know how long I've been using it for, but it's a fairly old enamel saucepan. | 2.The handle is corroded and in tatters. | |
|  |  | |
| 3.The center screw also appears to be quite corroded. | 4.A 40mm square piece of ash wood is fixed to the drive center and tailstock. | |
|  |  | |
| 5.Hammer the drive center in to ensure it is firmly embedded into the workpiece. | 6.Turning into a cylinder with a roughing gouge. | |
|  |  | |
| 7.Mark the part that goes into the pot and where to cut. | 8.Hold the cut workpiece in a three-jaw chuck and turn the part that will be inserted into the handle. | |
|  |  | |
| 9.I turned it over, held it, and adjusted the overall shape. | 10.I painted it with water-based urethane paint about three times and attached it to the pot. I caulked around the screws with epoxy adhesive to prevent water from seeping in. | |

| It's finished. I think I can use it for a while yet. | ||
