Aug. 3/2025 Repairing the handle of a saucepan My wife asked me to repair the enamel saucepan that she had been using for many years because the handle had broken. Maybe she has a similar habit of taking good care of her tools. |

1.I don't know how long I've been using it for, but it's a fairly old enamel saucepan. |
2.The handle is corroded and in tatters. |

3.The center screw also appears to be quite corroded. |
4.A 40mm square piece of ash wood is fixed to the drive center and tailstock. |

5.Hammer the drive center in to ensure it is firmly embedded into the workpiece. |
6.Turning into a cylinder with a roughing gouge. |

7.Mark the part that goes into the pot and where to cut. |
8.Hold the cut workpiece in a three-jaw chuck and turn the part that will be inserted into the handle. |

9.I turned it over, held it, and adjusted the overall shape. |
10.I painted it with water-based urethane paint about three times and attached it to the pot. I caulked around the screws with epoxy adhesive to prevent water from seeping in. |
