Sep. 20/2004 Box I challenge in a box to serve also as the test run of a Threading-Jig. The material is a beech. I am going to evaluate handmade Threading-jigthis time. |
1.I chuck material. and I makes a hole with ø50 and 5 mm depth for collet chuck. |
2.It chucks it with collet chuck. Then, I shave outskirts. It chucks it with collet chuck. e outskirts. |
|
3.I cuts off to the part of shell and cap. The side of collet chuck becomes cap part. |
4.I turn the inside of cap. It is enough in the skew if being a depth with this degree. |
|
5.I removes a tool rest and I sets Threding-jig. Then, I removes the collet chuck as it chucking works from center shaft and I sets it in the jig. A cutter is homemade but it's good. |
6.I turn the outside of shell.I used skew. |
|
7.I sets a screw Threding-jig. Then, I sets in the jig like cap. |
8.It saw from other side. I turns a blue handle and it forces a cutter on the work.
A screw make is when turning a red handle.
Let's threading, as much as three times. |
|
9.A screw is finely threading by the way which rotates a work in the same rotation direction as a cutter. Let's threading to the tip from the root. |
10.I forces cap into shell and I shaves outskirts. |
|
11.I put the ornament of the thumbtack to the center. I used a planetcolor for the finish. |
12.I opens cap. The screw turns smoothly. |
|
Now, I evaluate a jig. I think that this jig is the tolerable result. I want to attach the passing mark. A cutter is also good. I am pleased if it becomes the good news of you, WT-300 user. Threading jig |
